The second round of the Maxx Formula Championship took place as part of the Jacks Racing Days at TT circuit Assen. This very popular event featured many car and motorcycle races on August 7 and 8.
After two free practice sessions, qualifying was contested late on Saturday afternoon. Christopher, on the Panoz n°71, took pole position in the Advance category. Gilles, in car n ° 72, achieved the third fastest time.
As in the previous event in Le Castellet, Christopher won the Advance class in both races and even won the general classification in the second race. Second for a long time in the morning race, Gilles damaged his front wing on a curbes and dropped to fourth position. He made up for it in the afternoon by climbing to the third step of the podium in the second race.
Next meeting on August 28th and 29th, at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.
